Wednesdays are hard. So are Mondays. Thursdays tease us with that “almost-weekend vibe” and Tuesdays are just the absolute worst. So after a long hard day, what better way to unwind than with a sumptuous soak in the tub? How about a personalized sumptuous soak with some of your favorite essentials oils recommended for you from your iTOVi scan report? Sounds like a dream if you ask us!
Essential oils are known for the abilities to soothe aching muscles, skin irritations, tense nerves, and soften skin. We recommend soaking for at least 30-40 minutes to allow your skin optimal time to absorb all of the essential oil goodness. Adding mineral salts for a detoxifying effect, soft background music, and appropriate lighting easily turns your bath time into a 10/10 experience.
Follow these easy recipes below to create your very own tub-time treasures to help you relax!
Coconut Oil Bath Melts
Coconut oil is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, making it the perfect oil to help both relax and moisturize your body.
Tools
- Double boiler
- Silicone ice cube tray
Ingredients
- 2 cups virgin coconut oil
- 2 T citrus zest of choice (lemon, lime, orange, etc.)
- 10 drops of citrus essential oil of choice (lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, etc.)
Using a double boiler, melt coconut oil until just melted. Remove from heat and stir in citrus zest and add in drops of essential oils. Pour the cheerfully aromatic mixture into silicone ice cube molds. Place in refrigerator for at least 20 minutes or until solid. Pop out the melts from the silicone ice cube tray and melt under warm water in the bath.

Fizzing Bath Bombs
Create the ultimate spa-like experience as you relax and watch as your essential oils fizzle out into your warm tub. Consult a recent iTOVi scan report to see which oils you had the best reaction to and create a completely personalized bath bomb.
Tools
- Small mixing bowl
- Silicone sphere molds
- 1 cup citric acid
- 1 cup baking soda
- ½ cup cornstarch
- ½ cup almond/olive/fractionated coconut oil
- 8–10 drops favorite essential oil (divide the number of drops to incorporate multiple essential oils)
Place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, and oil all into a small mixing bowl. Add essential oils and mix well with a spoon, forming a soft dough (if your mixture seems too wet, try adding a small amount of extra cornstarch and baking soda). Fill silicone molds with mixture and let sit for at least 24 hours before removing from the mold. Simply drop in tub and enjoy!
